Every NIRwave display emits visible and NIR light at safe, low-intensity levels in compliance with IEC 62471 and ANSI/IES RP-27 photobiological safety standards.

Founder — Professor Zhi Kuang Tan
Professor Tan is a specialist in advanced semiconductor materials and near-infrared light-emission technology. He earned his PhD in physics from the University of Cambridge and leads a research group at the National University of Singapore. His work has appeared in journals including Nature Nanotechnology and Nature Photonics and has garnered over 10,000 academic citations. His inventions have yielded multiple licensed patents and spun off two deep-tech companies in advanced display technologies.
He founded NIRwave with a mission to deliver near-infrared light to an increasingly sunlight-deprived world.
